Summer Vacation (Beach 2)

The first time Josiah walked on the beach. He loved it.

The older kids loved the first night at the beach also.

Josiah was a little scared of the waves and did not like the water racing up to him.

Grandpa was having a great time with the kids. He brought them to the rides, and actually joined them in all of them. The kids had a great time, although the viking ship was rather scary for Caleb.

Grandpa Gordon took the center wheel and had the kids flying. As far as I could tell they were loving it. Thank goodness for a year of training at Dutch Wonderland.

As you can see the kids were kind of apprehensive about the viking ride.

After the viking ship ride, it was decided they would like a ride that was a little more mundane. So the merry-go-round was chosen. Caleb chose the mean dragon, while Kaylie was able to find a pretty horse.

In the morning we were all able to ride on a surry.

Once on the beach, a small pool was built for Josiah. He loved the protection from the racing waves and also the water and sand.

Josiah loved the mask.

The rides were again a hit for the kids.

Sometimes you just can't take a good picture.??

Sometimes you can, you just need the right people.

Always good to have a good night sleep, after a long days work.

Caleb loves his sleeping hat from Grandma Nancy.

Of course you always have to go to the pool. Nice to have after a long day at the beach.

Summer Vacation (Beach)

Before we left for the beach my Aunt Edie sent a care package to us.
Included was an ABC book for Little Joe. He loved it!!

Here we are beginning our trip to the beach. All packed in tight and ready to be at the beach. Obviously Kaylie asked the rheotorical question quite early I thought. After only a half hour she asked. "Are we there yet"? The actual funny part is she was not trying to be funny.

As we entered N.J. I heard a strange noise coming from the back. It turned out the noise was Josiah getting bored (and hungry) so he started to eat his shoe. (Makes sense).

First things first at the beach. The kids had to get fitted with their beach footwear.

Neat, Grandpa Gordon and Caleb match. (Blue/Flip-flops)

Hershey Park

We were invited by Kreg and Jenny Stewart to go to Hershey park. We actually got babysitting for all our kids so it was just Angela and I. We hit all the roller coaster and all the rides we wanted. We basically opened the park and stayed as long as we could. Did not get home until after 11:00 P.M.

Here is a picture of us on the (Wild Stallion, I think). Great roller coaster!! Hold on you go pretty fast.

After a long day, and sweating, Angela still looked like a beautiful butterfly. While
I was starting to smell like a _______.

Kreg was about to "croak" and Jen was getting ready for her starting day at school.

We also went to Zoo America at Hershey and enjoyed the North American Animals.
